UDGLA works with the Great Alliance for Jalisco
12/03/2008
The University of Guadalajara at Los Angeles began to carry out different liaison activities in 2008. One of them was to participate actively in the thematic roundtable called Jalisco natives abroad, which was run by the Great Alliance for Jalisco on March 12, 2008.
Following the participation of the UDGLA in this roundtable discussion, contacts were made with members of the Federación de Clubes Jaliscienses en California (Federation of Associations of Jalisco Natives in California) in order to discuss activities may provide educational and cultural activities to the community of Jalisco natives living in this region.
The mission of the Great Alliance for Jalisco is to enable and encourage Jalisco natives to dialogue, make proposals and reach agreements regarding the needs of Jalisco.
It is hoped that society and government will join together to draft a “Jalisco Plan”, and that this plan will commit all concerned parties to make the plans, programs and projects that Jalisco needs a reality.
